The Greensburg Foundation Fund Guidelines

The Greensburg Foundation Fund (GFF) is an established endowment fund within The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County. The Greensburg Foundation Fund’s Distribution Committee meets once a year, in mid-winter. The Greensburg Foundation Fund has recently revised its grant making policies and guidelines.

GRANT APPLICATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED FROM

DECEMBER 1ST THRU JANUARY 15TH of each calendar year.

YOU MUST CONTACT THE FOUNDATION OFFICE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR GRANT APPLICATION

Applying not-for-profit agencies are advised of the following:

	The GFF awards grants to charitable organizations that demonstrate program/project needs that benefit the residents of Greensburg, South Greensburg, Southwest Greensburg and Hempfield areas within the 15601 zip code.
	The GFF awards no support to general operating expenses or religiously oriented activities. It supports capital campaigns, special projects and programs in the areas of education, health and human services, and the arts.
	Organizations receiving funding from WNFF within the same FY are ineligible to apply for GFF funding.
	Only one request per organization should be submitted and the request should be signed by the organization’s Board Chairman, Executive Director, President or CEO.
	Reporting requirements from prior grants must be fulfilled before applying again.
	Application should not exceed $10,000.

A completed application must include one original and eight copies of the following:

	Completed CFWC application form (which can be downloaded from this site).
	Grant request must be signed by the applying organization’s authorized designee as noted above.

In addition, include one copy of the following:

	Verification of charitable organization status (new applicants only)
	The latest year-end audited financial statement or independent financial review.
	Current operating budget.
	Copy of Board List.

Applications are due January 15. Complete Grant Applications should be sent to:
