
PITTSBURGH, Pa., October 12 2011 – The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Day of Giving last week generated funding for local nonprofits at the rate of nearly $75 per second over the 24-hour giving period. The total raised for charitable organizations in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties was $6,448,448

Donors
An essential element of the mission of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County is to encourage philanthropy and assist local residents to become donors. The CFWC staff and directors work with our donors to reach their philanthropic goals which directly impact and benefit Westmoreland County. Potential donors are matched with non-profits whose missions align with the donor’s area of intended giving. CFWC strives to attract new donors to build an established legacy in Westmoreland County as well as establish new charitable funds which will continue to generate definitive change in the community.
