Make a gift through your will, leave a lasting legacy in your name
Charitable giving can be an important part of the legacy you choose to leave. A donor advised fund could allow future generations to carry on your legacy. Making a charitable contribution to The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County through your will allows you to support the organizations and causes you care about while maximizing the tax benefits to your estate.
For many, giving through their will is a way to support the community in ways they are not able to in their lifetime. Bequests and other testamentary gifts can take many forms including naming CFWC as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or insurance policy.
Leaving a gift in your will is easy to arrange and offers the same choices as making a contribution or establishing an individualized fund.
- List your future fund in your will.
- Complete a “Legacy Society’ agreement which will be kept on file at the Foundation until your death.
- CFWC will immediately begin honoring your charitable intent.
- All future donors are recognized in CFWC’s Annual Report (with their permission).
