The Power To Start A Legacy As a donor at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County (CFWC), you become an important component of the rich history of charitable giving in Westmoreland County.

One of our region’s greatest assets is our philanthropic tradition. Nowhere is this better demonstrated than in the proud history of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Since our founding in 1995, over 235 funds have been established at CFWC. These funds represent individuals from all walks of life who share a passion for giving and a deep commitment to making this community better — today and in the future.

Our professional staff can assist you and your professional advisors at no charge and help create a plan that fulfills your philanthropic and financial goals. Whether it is teaching children about philanthropy or supporting a favorite charitable program while presenting additional retirement income, we can help determine your best options.

An endowment fund at CFWC — established during your lifetime or through a bequest or other planned gift — provides community engagement, grantmaking and a legacy of good will.

There are many reasons for creating a fund at CFWC. The motivation of each donor is different, but the outcome is the same. Through charitable giving, our donors continue the legacy of generosity and caring that are hallmarks of our community.

For Advisors

As a professional advisor, your most valuable asset is the trusting relationship you’ve established with your clients. Since 1946, CFWC’s parent organization, The Pittsburgh Foundation, has partnered with advisors to build on that trust and to help high-net-worth individuals and families achieve their charitable goals.
