Professional Advisors

Professional Advisors should know that several types of funds can be established within The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, either through an immediate or deferred gift vehicle. Funds are established at no cost to your clients and are maintained through minimal administrative fees. Your clients may decide what type of fund to establish and at what level they wish to participate in recommending grants from their charitable funds.

CFWC now offers charitable gift annuities and may serve as trustee for charitable remainder and lead trust. CFWC accepts the following types of gifts:

  • Cash
  • Securities
  • Real or Personal Property
  • Life Insurance
  • Bequests
  • Gifts from Individual Retirement Accounts
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trust

Making an outright donation or establishing a fund is a simple process. CFWC provides you and your client with customized sample fund agreements and consults with you to provide the best possible services. CFWC also has access to additional planning resources through ts memberships in regional and nation philanthropic organizations, such as the Council on Foundations, Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania, and Community Foundations for Pennsylvania.

CFWC is a public charity, and gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. For more information, please call Caleb Crousey at (724) 836-4400.
